  • Exercise and improve observational abilities.
  • Capture the overall shape of the subject matter by using simplified structural and proportional systems.
  • Learn to draw with a variety of drawing techniques – line, tone, light & dark, texture – to capture volume and the illusion of 3D.
  • Use a range of black, white and coloured media.
  • Utilise perspective, scale and compositional devices effectively.
  • Create a likeness and/or interesting interpretation of the subject matter.
  • Draw from reality or photographic resources and the imagination.
